Made a gas station pit stop on a road trip, stopped in to get something in my kid's bellies. Best McDonald's service I've had in a LONG time. Food was hot, fresh, fast, and correct. Clean bathrooms, and an awesome sized older style kid's play place. I hate McDonald's, and this is probably the best truck stop one I've ever been in.
The left didn't know what the right was doing. The line was long. The wait was long. The food was not prepared consistently with other McDonald's restaurants. Not even an apology for the wait time. The staff I feel needs more training on how to deal with customers.
Visited this McDonald's whilst staying at a nearby hotel at approximately 8PM on 9/15 and ordered almost 20 dollars worth of food in the drive-thru. We get to our room, open the bags and there's not a single napkin. We had sandwiches that were messy and napkins were necessary and since we were on the road/in a motel room we didn't have other options. The food was good, but I don't understand why the staff felt that napkins weren't necessary for an order with 2 large sandwiches.
Used the drive thru very pleasant staff. The Coffee was soso.
These things may seem minor, but with so many fast food options these days, it's things like this that will cause me to seek out alternative meals even in a small town like Kentland where dining options are limited.
Had to argue with the guy 15 minutes about a price we already booked online. Said it had baby beds and it did not. Asked for a roll away bed said they did not have them either. Went to breakfasts there was lumpy creamer, rotten eggs and the waffle maker did not work.
Seeing as how McDonald's is the quickest place to grab a bite to eat on the go we tried this same location again in the morning on the way out of town at 5am and this time, while the food was good again, the lady that cashed us out in the drive-thru was rather rude and acted like our request jelly was a major inconvenience.
